The mission of Mental Health America of Greater Augusta, Inc. is to work on behalf of mental, emotional and behavioral health within the Central Savannah River Are. To this end, the organization will:
Build a broad-based membership dedicated to the mission of the association.
Maintain an active affiliation with Georgia Mental Health America and National Mental Health America.
Sponsor educational programs on mental health topics for the community.
Serve as a resource for consumers, professionals, the media, and others for information on mental health, mental disorders, treatment and prevention.
Support legistlation and initiatives which promote mental health, combat the stigma associated with mental disorders, and/or provide benefit to those affected by mental disorders.
Work cooperatively with other organizations on matters of mutual interest.
